Samantha Hall
Operations Manager
Twenty years in financial services will teach you a lot about people. It will also teach you that the quality of a client's experience usually comes down to what happens before anyone ever sits down at a table. That's the work I do at True Course Retirement, building the systems, processes, and training that let our team serve people the way they deserve to be served.
My role covers client service, onboarding, internal operations, and advisor development, but the motivation behind all of it has stayed the same since day one. I like helping people through hard things. Retirement is one of the most significant transitions a person makes, and it rarely arrives without stress attached. I've spent my career learning how to take that weight down a few notches, and the work still feels meaningful every time it lands.
What I didn't anticipate when I started out was how much I'd come to love the people themselves. Every client brings a completely different career, family story, and way of seeing the world. Those conversations are one of the real pleasures of this job, and I think genuine curiosity about people makes you better at serving them.
I grew up in Southern California and spent most of my life in the Sacramento area, where having the ocean, mountains, and desert all within a few hours' drive gives you a healthy appreciation for how much the world has to offer. That curiosity followed me when I recently relocated out of state, and the experience of starting somewhere new has only reinforced it. I love to travel, try unfamiliar food, and meet people I wouldn't have encountered otherwise. In my view, the world is full of interesting people. You just have to show up willing to say hello.
I studied at Chapman University College and have spent the last two decades adding to that foundation one client at a time.
